With over twenty years experience as a journalist, Maria Bartiromo had a significant role in setting up the TV channel CNBC to become one of the most prominent in economic and business coverage. A highly successful journalist, her career is proof that she was always meant to work in this area. In her teens, Maria was unable to determine what profession she would pursue. Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn, an American actress who has worked in film and television and theatre. A gifted thespian, she has been active in the professional world for the last 27 years. In 1990, she made her stage debut in an Off Broadway production in The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. As a character in The Perfect Tribute, she had her debut TV role one year later. Her breakthrough for her career was in 1992 when she played a supporting role in the movie Basic Instinct. The Firm is where she first made her appearance as a female actor alongside Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. Throughout the 1990s she worked with some of the top stars in the industry including Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. Recenty, she played Dr Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
